No Lifeguards on Irish beaches???

As the title says, what the f...??

I'm no legal eagle, but won't the County Councils and Local Authorities be liable, as they have provided access. Duty of Care!?

You may call me frugal, but I personally feel that lives should not cost. Just because governments have made a mistake of trusting spendthrift banks. We have suffered enough in financial terms, now mortality??

Why don't they donate the little amount of money allotted to the RNLI. Look at the good work that they have done on the beaches in England. The Irish versions of RLSS, RNLI etc.. Have not stepped up to the mark here, we are in recession and lives are at risk, Stop Faffing Around!

Failte Ireland are predicting a marked increase in inward tourism this year, so beaches will be full of Irish holiday makers, plus regular foreign tourists. I would like to know the method of thinking of the fool who decided there is no demand for lifeguards?

This is my first Blog, but I wanted to make people aware of what is happening with our industry. You may agree or disagree with me, but I'm very concerned..
